Any user, in any region, can ask {{brand}} to delete their data at any time, free of charge. Here are the three ways to do it.
Last updated: 17 September 2026 · Effective: 17 September 2026
Any user, in any region, can ask us to delete all the data we hold about them, at any time, free of charge. You do not need a vedhasAI account, and you do not need to give a reason.
Pick the option that describes you.
Option 1: You have a vedhasAI account
Do these steps inside the app at https://vedhasai.com. Each one asks for confirmation before anything is removed.
- Disconnect your channels. Settings → Channels → disconnect WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Instagram DM and the website chat widget. Messages stop arriving straight away.
- Disconnect your ad accounts. Settings → Integrations → Google Ads and Meta ads → Disconnect. Stored access tokens are deleted immediately.
- Delete your leads and conversations. Leads → select → delete, or use the bulk delete action.
- Delete the workspace. Settings → Business profile → Delete workspace. This removes the business database, inventory, prompts, templates, media and reports.
- Delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete account.
If a step is not available to your role, ask an admin on your team, or use Option 3 and we will do it for you.
Option 2: You used a Facebook or Instagram feature
If you connected vedhasAI through Facebook, remove it there first:
- Open Facebook → Settings & privacy → Settings.
- Go to Apps and websites (for a business account, Business Integrations).
- Find vedhasAI and choose Remove.
That stops Meta sending us any further data. It does not delete what we already stored, so follow Option 3 as well to have that removed.
Option 3: Anyone, including customers who chatted with a business
This covers people who never had a vedhasAI account — for example, if you messaged a shop on WhatsApp and that shop uses vedhasAI.
Email privacy@vedhasai.com with the subject "Data deletion request", or use the contact form and choose Privacy request as the topic.
Include as much of this as you can, so we can find your records:
- Your name
- Your email address
- The phone number you used on WhatsApp, if the request relates to a chat
- The business you interacted with, if you know it
- What you would like deleted
We will ask you to confirm your identity before we act, because deleting the wrong person's data is not reversible.
Please note: if you chatted with a business, that business decides what happens to its customer records. We will forward your request to it and help it respond. Contacting the business directly is usually faster.
What gets deleted
- Your account, profile and login history
- Business configuration: prompts, lead fields, follow-up settings, team members and roles
- Leads, conversations, media and lead timeline entries
- Inventory and catalogue records you uploaded
- Synced Google Ads and Meta ads data
- Access tokens for every connected account
- Website tracking records tied to you
What we may keep, and why
- Records the law requires us to retain, such as tax invoices.
- A minimal record of the deletion request itself, so we can show we acted on it.
- Copies inside backups, until those backups rotate — within 90 days. Backups are not used for anything else, and restoring one never brings deleted data back into the live service.
Anything we retain stays covered by our Privacy Policy and is not used for any other purpose.
How long it takes
| Step | Timeline | |---|---| | We acknowledge your request | Within 30 days | | Tokens for connected accounts deleted | Immediately on disconnect | | Synced ads data deleted | Within 30 days | | Workspace and conversation data deleted | Within 30 days of verification | | Account data deleted after closure | Within 90 days | | Backups purged | Within 90 days |
Confirmation
Every request gets a reference number by email. When deletion finishes, we email again to confirm, quoting the same reference. If we cannot delete something, we tell you exactly what and why.
